Swooping Season

Yes it’s Swooping season for Magpies and it can be very frightening! Here are some tips to avoid this happening to you.

* The easiest way is to avoid the area where the magpies are swooping but if you can’t;

* Wear a hat while in the area.

* Take an umbrella, which is the best protection.

* Do not stop walking! You are still in the magpie’s territory so they will keep swooping, their behaviour will stop when you have left the area

* Help your fellow community by making a sign to inform other people

* Help your pets by making sure your dog is on a leash when walking through a Magpie territory
