Position Purpose

The Warriors 4 Wildlife Inc.’s Emergency Response Service is a voluntary role that provides the crucial point of contact for the community to report injured, sick or orphaned wildlife in need of rescue, treatment, or care. The role of Rescue Phone Operator within this service is vital to Warriors 4 Wildlife’s organisational mission and purpose.

Position Responsibilities

  • Promptly answer calls received through our rescue number service Facilitate rescues including answering calls, organising volunteers for rescue, advising members of public regarding native wildlife.

  • manner and provide exemplary customer service

Desirable abilities

  • Experience in customer service

  • Able to problem solve

  • Must be computer/technology literate

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Days & Commitment

  • Most shifts are 3-5 hours

  • Available for 2-3 shifts per week

  • Willing to undertake ongoing training 

  • Flexible in working hours, including weekends

  • Casual seasonal role with the potential for an ongoing basis
