Lucky Ducklings!
This week our Rescue Phone Operator team received a call from a member of public, regarding a mum Pacific Black Duck and her ducklings, who were venturing to cross the road directly out the front of their home.
Some of the ducklings fell into the gutter drain at the front, as they tried to follow Mum. One of our senior rescuers talked to the caring members of public through the best scenario to rescue the little family.
The ducklings were retrieved, and then calmly and bravely they escorted the family of ducks 2.5 km’s to a local creek. The Mum and her ducklings went on their way and all were safe.
