How does Little Natives Wildlife Shelter support wildlife and their habitat?
I have been a rescuer since moving down to Wonthaggi 4 yrs ago. I was prompted into rescuing seeing all the roadkill on an everyday basis. I have always wanted to care for animals so decided to become a foster carer which has now led to me gaining shelter status. Both my husband and I share the caring for the little orphans that come in.
How our project funding supported Little Natives Wildlife Shelter
’Ray and I would like to thank Warriors 4 Wildlife for our gift cards. They are very much appreciated and will allow us to extend a possum enclosure. This will allow us to care for more injured/orphaned possums. We also intend to build a macropod shelter and some pouch stands. The petrol card is also much appreciated as we clock up a lot of klm's doing rescues. Thanks again, you are stars.’🌟
Each month, the program highlights a Victorian wildlife shelter, providing $1,000 to support their rehabilitation efforts. Designed to bolster Victoria’s wildlife shelters and carers by providing essential resources and funding to aid in the rescue, rehabilitation, and release of native wildlife.
