How does Bats of Wolfies Wildlife Shelter support wildlife and their habitat?
I became a carer after volunteering for an incredible shelter and seeing the good that can be done to help wildlife by individuals. Being a carer, and now running a shelter has inspired me to become a vet nurse - I graduate in November. I hope I can eventually be a vet nurse working to care for wildlife. I work closely with my carer Kat and my volunteers, Caitlyn and Rhys to do everything we can for wildlife in the Greater Geelong Area.

What advice would you give the public?
Always call for advice if you see wildlife and you’re unsure if the behaviour is normal. The experts on the line will give you advice - no question is a stupid question and you might save a life.

There are many ways to help our wildlife and we get lots of calls a week with concerned Members of Public wanting to help. You can do this by reporting injured and orphaned wildlife or donating funds so that we can provide ongoing support to wildlife shelters.
